Emery Walker’s House Archive
Emery Walker's House contained a wealth of documents including correspondence,
photographs, official documents, notes and other material.
These have now been gathered together and catalogued to become the ‘Papers of Sir Emery Walker, Engraver, Photographer, Printer, Typographer’. The cataloguing was carried out by our archivist and a team of volunteers as part of the Arts & Crafts Hammersmith project to restore the house and make its contents available to a wider public. You can see some of the gems from the archives on our blog.
The archive has now been transferred to the Victoria and Albert Museum, to be part of their Archive of Art and Design, and should be open to bona fide researchers there by the end of the year.
