We welcome offers of assistance and there are a variety of ways that you can help:
Fundraising
Donations
The Emery Walker Trust is a registered Charity and needs donations, small or large, to enable the Trust to conserve its unique collection and to help maintain the fabric of the building. Where appropriate, a Gift Aid Form will be sent, so that the value of your donation can be enhanced at no cost to yourself. Send offers/donations to the address at the bottom of this page.
You may wish to mention us in your will with a legacy or bequest. Such a gift will represent an enduring legacy to preserve this unique house.
We do fundraise for specific projects. Recent donations include the generous gift of £1500 towards the conservation of our photographic collection. We are currently looking for funds to carry out a paint analysis of our Philip Webb linen press; conservation of our archival material; and the cost of producing the Trust’s book on Emery Walker, to be written by Dr Aileen Reid.
Grants
An application for a Project Planning Grant has been submitted to the Heritage Lottery Fund and we will hear if we have been successful within the next three months. The Trust is also considering a range of other grants schemes.
Volunteering
We have a dedicated team of volunteers who support the Trust in a variety of ways. From time to time we do take on new volunteers. If you would like to volunteer please write to the address below outlining your previous experience and interest in 7 Hammersmith Terrace.
Campaigning
You can book a place on a tour as a gift for a friend or you may be able to tell others what an interesting house this is to visit. We welcome your letters of support as they can be used in grant applications and help us to publicise the house.
